Big Bill Love is a 46 year radio veteran who migrated to the Evansville/Owensboro area 28 years ago after a career in several legendary rock stations including WHK - Cleveland Ohio, WPOP - Hartford Conn.,and WKLO - Louisville.
Big Bill found it very easy to move to a country broadcasting career because he had always loved the music. "In my home town of Paintsville, Kentucky the local radio station woke us up every morning with Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs' 'Foggy mountain Breakdown'. When I was a Sophmore in High School I got a job at that station and the first song I got to play was...yep...'Foggy Mountain Breakdown'"!
Big Bill was the first WKDQ DJ on the air in 1992 when 99.5 switched to a country format and has held down the 10AM-3PM shift ever since - over 15 years!!. He's married (Beverly) and collects civil war artifacts and likes to cook. many listeners have copies of his two cookbooks that have been distributed free throughout the Evansville/Henderson area.
